Two Colourful Poems

Wallow

Deep purple

at the centre of my core.

Dark, mysterious,

wish for yellow and light,

or red and bright

But just wallow in  purple.

I know it’s not healthy.

The purple has engulfed me.

Am happy to wallow

in my purple core

for now.

Kaleidoscope Tapestry

Emotions, thoughts and feelings,

variant  colours, diverse  hues,

alternating shades.

Minute by minute, shifting, merging;

zoom in,  spread out.

Leaving countless patterns in its wake.

Or like a woven tapestry;

the colours hide within the weave,

creating still more patterns and designs.

This intermingling of threads,

a constant refrain,

absorbing thoughts, emotions and feelings

into the hidden tapestry of life.

  1. Lindsay says:

    Color on a gray miserable day. Love it

  2. Such pretty colors…

  3. improbablegaia says:

    Warp or weft? As a woman. I have been both. I am beautiful AND I block the drafts. It all seems to come down to decorative OR functional. Sigh.

  4. bluerose says:

    Your tapestry is purple for now, but it takes reds and blues to make it. Passionate and cool, purple is a complex color. These are deep poems, shifting and merging with the kaleidoscope that you’re becoming. Love them!

  5. Very colorful indeed! 😀

    “Or like a woven tapestry;
    the colours hide within the weave,
    creating still more patterns and designs.”

    My favorite lines 😉

  6. Very nice 🙂 …though I don’t really know enough about poetry to offer any constructive comments, I did enjoy reading them through… though that kaleidoscope picture made my brain (and eyes) turn inside out 😉

Aw come on say something....
