Six Sentence Sunday June 10

Yea! It’s Sunday and time for Six Sentence Sunday

Every week participants post six sentences from something they are writing – or have written. It’s a lot of fun and really a great way to meet new writers!

And I’ve met some terrific people. Thank you !

Be sure to check out the other great participants and thanks so much for stopping by.

Back to modern times and a look at my new WIP, another short story, called An Ordinary Couple.

****

“What do you mean you can’t come to dinner tonight?”

Her sister sounded pissed. Phoebe smiled at the small victory, and hoped Sara hadn’t fainted.

Just because she didn’t date much didn’t mean she was always available  to fill out a dinner party.

“I’ve got a date.”

Dead air greeted her at on the other end of the phone.

Excellent beginning! I already have clear pictures of both sisters. And yes, I’d say Ara is not going to let this one go. Great six!

LOL. Love that dead air reaction to her news!

  7. Silver James says:

This snippet shows so much about the personalities of Phoebe and Sara. Well done! (And the dead air is perfect! LOL)

Sounds amazing! I just love your way with words here, and the picture you paint! Great job! 🙂
