Six Sentence Sunday July 22

Yea! It’s Sunday and time for Six Sentence Sunday

Every week participants post six sentences from something they are writing – or have written. It’s a lot of fun and really a great way to meet new writers!

And I’ve met some terrific people. Thank you !

Be sure to check out the other great participants and thanks so much for stopping by.

WARNING: My snippets for the next while will feature Gideon and Phoebe but is not the same venue I have been sharing. My apologies. I’m trying to write Gideon’s story and hope the third time is a charm. First I tried The Devil’s Mistress but it would be impossible to rewrite. Next I published Nineteen Hundred  which is an historical back story. And An Ordinary Couple, though it contained sexy bits, was not a good fit for Gideon.

So now we have the Misfits (not very original title but is what it is) and I have: characters, a plot, and conflict. So please bear with me. 😀

The Preface (Part I):

When they met, Gideon, who knew secrets between lovers led to dire consequences, told Phoebe that he worked as an agent in mid-management for the devil (Mr. D).

Gideon and Phoebe were not the only mixed couple residing in the small Ontario city.

There were three others.

The disturbing question was: why four misfit agents were assigned to the same territory.

Why did Mr. D allow it?

He knew, of course.

Thanks for putting up with me 🙂

  8. Kate Warren says:

My guess is there’s a lot of “work” for the agents in that area. Though why that is, I’m not sure.

  9. J.M. Blackman says:

Putting up with you? Are you kidding? This is golden. I loved Mr. D when you used to feature him, so to get another look into this world is great. I love that they’re called Misfits. Can’t wait to find out why so many agents would be in one place.

That was an enjoyable 6 sentences. 🙂 Even though I’ve been away for a bit and know none of the backstory, just this much is a good attention grabber.

Very intriguing and beautifully written as always!

  15. Mae Clair says:

New beginnings are always an exciting time in a story. I’m curious to see what direction this will take. You’ve got my attention, Sue!

Your story is evolving but it remains intriguing. The addition of three more couples makes for a lot of great secondary characters and maybe some spin-offs. *wink*
