Rainbow for Blogophilia 23.5

it starts with joy

then bright warmth

to cool leafed forests

and healing waters

with perfect nights

but a rainbow can also leave

a bitter tang on the palate

deflate as easily as a Yorkshire pudding

taste of disappointment and despair

of dreams turned into hallucinations

of horror and doom

and star lit nights of behemoths

swimming in the darkness

Justice and Fate live at the end of the rainbow

Fate and Justice determine the taste of a rainbow

their love is fierce and forever but periodically they forget

They forget their destiny and the world crumbles to dust in the wake

Chaos works to keep them apart and acrimonious

It’s what Chaos does

Hope found Fate and Justice

they had come upon hard times

long dirty gnat knitted hair

malnourished, tired

Two souls had lost their way and memory

their beautiful minds destroyed

deep within each they retained a dim vision of their purpose but

neither could muster the strength to continue

Were they destined to wander aimlessly or would Lady Luck or Guardian Angels discover them and fully restore their memories so they again could fulfill their destinies

memories lie at the end of the rainbow and can never be destroyed, or so the myth says
