Six Sentence Sunday Dec 2

Yea! It’s Sunday and time for Six Sentence Sunday

Every week participants post six sentences from something they are writing – or have written. It’s a lot of fun and really a great way to meet new writers!

And I’ve met some terrific people. Thank you !

Be sure to check out the other great participants and thanks so much for stopping by.

The Misfits is a group of four couples, consisting of four who work as part of the mid-management team for the devil, Mr.D, as soul collectors, and their partners, who are human.

Fragment from NaNo

set up: self explanatory

Phoebe heard Gideon enter the house, and yelled, “I’m in here.”

The bath’s warm suds soaked into her work weary body easing her muscle tension; she knew something else that would relax her as well.

As he stood at the door taking in the misty room, Phoebe noticed his brown eyes flicker with a glint of lust.

 “Care to join me?”

“I would my dear but I have another site in about a half hour.”

He looked like he could use a bath also, his face sagged with fatigue, a mud smudge marred his cheek and he smelled of barnyard.

“Pity. I could use a massage, but I’ll be waiting for you when you get home, all squeaky clean and .…”

“ Do not fall asleep before I return,” and he strode out muttering, “..vixen, bad timing Mr. D grumble, grumble.”

I get the feeling he doesn’t want to leave. LOL Great six! 🙂

  2. Jenna Jaxon says:

Poor Gideon! The trials and tribulations of being a soul collector–your time is not your own and your boss is just the devil. LOL Loved his muttering as he stalks out. He’d probably sell his soul all over again just to get into that tub with Phoebe. 🙂 Great six…er so.

  3. Lee S Brooks says:

I think this story you are on has a very interesting concept. It’s fun to stop by and see what’s going on. It’s kinda like a TV series soap opera!

  4. Gemma Parkes says:

Oh, shame he has to go, but l’m sure she will be waiting!

  5. LOL. At least he has something to look forward to when he returns. 😉

  6. Ana says:

I am new, so has Mr. D already been introduced?

  7. Cara Bristol says:

I’d imagine Mr. D takes great pride in bad timing!

  8. Had to come by and check out your Six Sentence. Loved it but what bad timing. 🙂

  9. That’ll give him something to think about the rest of the day!

  10. Oh, I love this, Sue. What an awesome interaction between the two of them. I’d like to be a fly on the wall of Gideon’s next site.

  11. Fun six! Always look forward to reading more of this every week!

  12. Elin Gregory says:

She really picked her moment 😀 If she goes to sleep he can always wake her up.

  13. LOL! Just shows that Mr. D really is the devil!

  14. J.A. Beard says:

    Bad timing, indeed. 🙂

Aw come on say something....
