Play Ball! For Blogophilia 41.5

Yesterday Mr.  D.’s soul collectors baseball team played the Louisiana Reapers composed of regular reapers like on the TV show Dead like me. They were called the grim weepers because they cried whether they won or lost. The Misfits team consisted of the entire group of eight plus Edward. who sparkled and whose teeth were crooked. Their only problem was Victor who insisted on reading library books which may well have heightened his mind but did nothing to assist the team in winning the game. However, with both a vampire, of sorts, and a witch, they really could not lose.

(just another silly drabble)

Am wondering how a soul collectors team could possibly lose a game!? its like telling the other team either we win or we visit you tonight! 🙂 Great little write that caused me to envision a baseball team with scythes for bats!

    • Sue says:

Dave, no one’s gonna collect your soul unless you’ve signed a contract with Mr.. D. My misfits are a fun loving bunch. Glad to see you here 😀

  2. Marvin says:

Silly dribble or not it is still worth the reading and the awarding of 8 points Earthling! 🙂

  3. trev says:

I see now… Vamp’s do sparkle with crooked fangs I see… Edward is not a man to please unless you want to see his sparkling crooked fangettes … if that’s even a word!!… lol
But I have to agree with you Sue Victor insisting on reading books sitting on the bench, is about as useful as a chocolate fire guard!!!…
But with 2 vamps (one useful the other useless) AND a witch, yes the Louisiana Reapers didn’t stand a dog in hells chance of winning… which is a tad loaded wouldn’t you say?… lol
I love the way you just throw yourself into this story with Mr D’s followers, fitting in the challenges so seamlessly!
loved it Sue… nice and fresh … but never a silly drabble!!!

  4. Chuck says:

Nothing like a good inter-office rivalry
