Nile
boat moves
river flows
early morning
flies land on warm skin
livestock graze on the banks
birds swoop sun shines on water
women wash laundry in full view
in upstairs lounge sitting mesmerized
my blank mind jolts back to reality
hours passed gazing at sights highlight of trip
sipping hibiscus tea needs sugar
bright sun glistens on cool water
can recapture emotions
name of boat is Mayfair
good morning to you
serenity
wonderful
the blue
Nile
One thing talk can’t accomplish is communication. This is because everybody’s talking too much to pay attention to what anyone is saying. This is especially true of the clashes going on now in Egypt. As it was, We got out just in time.

A beautiful poem. It must have been amazing to travel on the Nile…. And isn’t it sad that hatred reigns in so many lovely places? Glad you were safe…
we’re in touch with a friend there so pretty up to date on what’s going on
dreamy… you caught the essence of the Nile for me here Sue…
your words conjuring up images in my mind of a land I have never visited…
why do people argue so much when they have so much on tap for nothing except for the cost of time it takes to see what there is all around them…. none so blind as those who refuse to see!!
that last shot here says it all for me girl… loved the read.. and the way you set out your wordage Sue… I expect this arrangement has a name… I will call is easy understanding OK?… loved it girl.. xxx

I feel like I was transported. What sights you must have seen. Beautifully captured, Sue. Between the poetry and the photos, I feel like I’ve taken a journey!
What a lovely comment – thank you
Absolutely stunning poem, felt like I was floating along taking in the sights…. *sigh* Gorgeous etheree!!! ๐
Thank you so much Colleen. That’s what the river does, flows along and the words follow ๐
it is hard to imagine that so much blood has flowed into such a beautiful blue river. 8 points Earthling! ๐
yes, it’s a sad situation
Wonderfully pastorial. I have to agree Egypt doesn’t seem to be a good place to visit this week, but glad you got there while it still was. I’d like to go there someday – but I fear it is still years away
My husband wanted to go so I tagged along –very exhausting
It must have been the trip of a life time. Hey if your hubby wants to go on another trip you don’t want to, just call me. I will go for you haha
will do ๐
Gorgeous pics, Sue. You’d never know there was a problem there. Loved the poem shaped like a ship. Beautiful.
