The Nile for Blogophilia 49.5

Nile

boat moves

river flows

early morning

flies land on warm skin

livestock graze on the banks

birds swoop sun shines on water

women wash laundry in full view

in upstairs lounge sitting mesmerized

my blank mind jolts back to reality

hours passed gazing at sights highlight of trip

sipping hibiscus tea needs sugar

bright sun glistens on cool water

can recapture emotions

name of boat is Mayfair

good morning to you

serenity

wonderful

the blue

Nile

One thing talk can’t accomplish is communication. This is because everybody’s talking too much to pay attention to what anyone is saying. This is especially true of the clashes going on now in Egypt. As it was, We got out just in time.

your words conjuring up images in my mind of a land I have never visited…
why do people argue so much when they have so much on tap for nothing except for the cost of time it takes to see what there is all around them…. none so blind as those who refuse to see!!

Wonderfully pastorial. I have to agree Egypt doesn’t seem to be a good place to visit this week, but glad you got there while it still was. I’d like to go there someday – but I fear it is still years away
