WeWriWa – Breakfast

Welcome to another warrior Sunday!

Happy Easter and Happy Passover. Enjoy the day and hopefully you’ll find time to browse the examples of fine writing here at WWW.

Following right from the scene two weeks ago.

Myrth placed a stack of newly made pancakes in the platter and poured the coffee.

Gideon helped himself to several pancakes and half a dozen rashers of bacon.

Phoebe speared two pancakes and three pieces of the bacon, placed them neatly on her plate then glanced over at her partnerโ€™s heaped dish and rolled her eyes.

“Good morning yโ€™all,” Eve sank into a seat and grabbed her coffee mug.

Phoebe stopped eating with her fork halfway to her mouth. “Good morning nice of you to join us.”

“Bon jour. I did hear your comment,” Victor nodded to Gideon as he sat in the last chair; Gideon shrugged and kept busy with his knife and fork.

I guess a little morning delight has mellowed Eve. ๐Ÿ™‚ And Gideon’s not letting anything get in the way of his breakfast. LOL Is he always this focused on food? Nice group scene.

Reading this close to lunch is making me hungry! I like the contrast between Gideon’s breakfast style and Phoebe’s. Feels very real.

  6. Ahh, bacon and coffee. I’m letting this bunch be in charge of breakfast from now on. ๐Ÿ™‚

Nothing’s going to keep Gideon from eating, lol. Thanks for sharing!

Well work might. But this is a tight knit group and always joking around with each other. Anyway usually it’s Gideon and Phoebe who are late…

  11. That’s a lot of bacon! Yummy! Nice excerpt.

  12. I don’t think I’ve ever heard the term ‘rashers’ before… is that another term for strips?

I wish you’d told us what they put on their pancakes! jam, syrup, butter, lemon juice, honey, or nothing?

    condiments are so revealing ๐Ÿ˜‰

Aw come on say something....
