Originally written for a poetry site on my space. Unfortunately I couldn’t find the pic I used for that.
Into my sleep you did creep
into my dreams you danced
I smelled your memories
playing by the sea
in a land faraway.
You touched my soul
you felt my dreams
the taste of your yesterdays
old, earthen, dark
in my mind
like whispers in my heart.
I held up my neck
smooth and ever so soft
you bit
crimson droplets
on my pillow.
Finally!
Breaking free of the chains
leaving behind the past’s unpleasant
stains
feeling free and so happy
my lover
we would walk forever into the good
night.
