Six Sentence Sunday. Every week participants post six sentences from something they are writing – or have written. It’s a lot of fun and a great way to meet new writers!
This is my first entry with this group. My lines are from a series of character sketches which I hope will form a short story collection at some point.
Oh, Oh here comes trouble, thought Joleene, the paralegal in the law firm.
“Good afternoon, Chester,” she said and smiled. She noticed a slight flutter in her tummy.
Chester did not smile back. Instead, glowering, he asked, “Did you check over this brief for my court case tomorrow?”
“Yes I did, I double checked and corrected the section of the Act you referenced; it is 21(f) not 23(d) as you had indicated.”

thank you – no I don’t work in Law, and have no idea why Chester picked this profession out for himself. I did work with legislation before I retired. thanks for the good comment !
